Alicia: An International Artist
Different Styles
Her father was Italian, her mother Spanish. Alicia is an American citizen. She was born in Argentina and has lived
in Europe. She knows more than 50 countries and lives in Colorado.
Painting has been her passion all her life, and she has developed a creative, exquisite, and detailed style. Some highlights are:
Artist Education: Painting and Craft Courses Attended
- 1991-2002: Porcelain Painting Workshops of Professor Mrs. Edith Segura Zambonini.
- 1980-1989: Painting and Drawing Studio of Professor Miss Beatriz Yesari (from the Institute of Fine Arts of Buenos Aires).
- 1971-1974: Study and practice of Japanese watercolor painting over silk, rice paper, and wood at the renowned Japanese painter and teacher Kazuko Takeda's workshop.
Participation in Painters' Organizations
- Member of the Argentine Society of Porcelain Painters of Buenos Aires.
- Member of the Argentine Society of Porcelain Painters of South America.
- Member of IPAT (International Porcelain Artists and Teachers).
Awards and Exhibitions
- 1992-2002: Annual porcelain exhibition at the Fine Arts Museum of Buenos Aires. In 1997 obtained the First Prize for a design of a set of dishes, and in 1999 obtained the 2nd. Prize for another set of dishes.
- 2000: Mention award for a painted porcelain flower vase at joint Argentine - Japanese porcelain exhibition.
- 1974: Mention award for Asian painting over silk at the Museum of Asian Art of Buenos Aires.
